In this story is divided into three parts. First it tells about the 10 lepers who are healed, but only one goes back and gives thanks. The second is a parable Jesus told about persistence when praying. He tells about the widow and the judge. The third is also a parable. It is about the Pharisee and tax collector who go to the Temple and pray.

This is the second story that happened when Jesus took his secret trip to Jerusalem to attend the Festival of Tabernacles. He heals a blind man on the Sabbath. An uproar ensued when the man was questioned by the religious leaders.

Jesus makes a secret trip to Jerusalem to attend the Festival of Tabernacles. The religious rulers try to entrap him by bringing him a woman who had committed adultery. The Law of Moses said she should be executed by stoning. The law of Rome said only they were allowed to execute people. It seemed there was no way he could answer this question.

Seventy Times Seven

Peter wants a limit on how many times he has to forgive someone before enough is enough. Jesus given him an illustration of why he should be generous in his forgiveness of others. This story is taken from Matthew 18.

Paying Temple Tax

After his transfiguration, Jesus starts him journey to Jerusalem to be crucified. The disciples sense the kingdom is at hand, so they are talking about who is greater. Jesus talks to them about humility, servitude, and his death. The issue of paying the temple tax is raised, so Jesus has Peter catch a fish with a coin in its mouth.
