This story is the first of the a 3-part series called "The Christmas Story." It introduces us to an old priest and his wife who are well beyond the childbearing years. Still the angel Gabriel appears to the priest and tells him they will be parents to a son they are to name John. This is how the Christmas story begins. The same angel goes to Nazareth and appears to Mary. She spends three months with the old couple gaining wisdom and encouragement for what lay ahead of her. This story is told by John Walsh. Be sure to check out the devotional that was written to go along with this story - Christmas Morning Memories.
