This is the first of a 2-part story about Absalom, the rebellious son of king David. The story is taken from I Samuel 15-19. This first part tells about how Absalom takes the kingdom from his father, and ends with David running for his life. The outcome totally depends on how Absalom plans to kill his father. The story is told by John Walsh and is a part of the series, Lesser-known Stories of the Old Testament.
