This is the second of four stories that happen during the "Time of the Judges." It is taken from Judges 4-5. Deborah was the only woman judge during this time. This story is also about Barak, the leader of the Israeli army, and Sisera, the head of the Canaanite army. The real hero in this story is a woman named Jael, who killed Sisera in an unusual way. The story is told by John Walsh and is a part of the series, Lesser-known Stories of the Old Testament.
