This is the first of four stories that happen during the "Time of the Judges." It is taken from Judges 3. During this 400-year period, Israel forsakes the Lord several times. Because of this, God allowed another nation to rule over them. They repented, and God sent a judge to lead them to victory and oversee disputes among them. This story about Ehud is told by Hawkins Williams and is a part of the series, Lesser-known Stories of the Old Testament. Comments (2)

The story seemed generally accurate. It could have used a some introduction to the Moabites, descendants of Moab, one of Lot's sons. They had settled in mountains southeast of the Promised Land. The description of Eglon could have been a little more graphic earlier.
With Ehud and the king being on a porch off an upper room, the description of Ehud's escape could have been a bit more dramatic.
