A word of caution
These tellers:
CSN recommends that each organization carefully question a storyteller before inviting him/her to their function. Here are a few sample questions to ask.

Isak Dinesen said, "To be a person is to have a story to tell." Well, Buck P. Creacy always has a story to tell. With that slow Southern drawl in his voice, it’s quite evident that he hails from West Texas. By weaving the threads of his heritage with those of his life experiences, Buck always entertains and enthralls his audiences. It was while shining shoes in Slim’s barber shop at the tender age of 14 that Buck realized he would get more business if he could keep the customers laughing. So that’s what he did, and he has never stopped making folks laugh.
He has told stories from coast to coast, in his easy well paced delivery, to Small Groups, Churches, Theaters, Youth Camps Concerts, Conferences, and Worship Services. He has keynoted for organizations like the International Reading Association, AmeriCorp, and PEMMco (Professional Engineers Maintenance Manufacturing Conference) and quite a few storytelling organizations. Don't miss hearing Buck P Creacy. Listen to “A World of Storytelling Radio” on the Live365.com franchise.

Teller Tom Taylor, – also musician, author and poet - selected for the Texas Commission on the Arts Touring Artist Roster, is doing what he loves, and loving what he does.
He’s written some 800+ stories, songs, poems and ballads, in addition to seven children’s books. His interactive presentations – tailored to the individual venue – feature original works, and, often, material written specifically for the host organization (its history, particular theme, etc.) At every opportunity, Taylor shares his love of Bible-telling, and can present a variety of stirring accounts from both Old and New Testaments.
Most programs include a fun “tutorial” on our American folk rhythms: spoons, bones, hamboning, paper bags, etc. This experience typically provides audiences the opportunity to learn and display a delightful new skill. All ages love it!
Tom strives to create the most effective possible combination of stories, music and poetry to provide affirmation, encouragement, laughter, understanding, insight and inspiration for his every audience.
Entertainer and educator Dan LeMonnier performs nationwide, delighting audiences of all ages with his storytelling, music and humor. His renditions of biblical and personal stories, world folk tales, history and original songs all reflect his belief -- every story that has breath can praise the Lord. Let Dan customize a program to suite your specific event, or choose from over twenty programs that include holiday themes, multicultural folklore, and positive life skills. Recordings include Grimms in America (tall tales retold), Prairie Visions (Midwest history), Picture Book (songs of family and hope) and Begin Again (based on his popular Children's Chat Sermons). Dan is a Youth Leader and Stephen Minister and is available for assemblies, workshops, keynote speaking and seminars. References, audio and video samplers are available upon request.

Her workshops are active participation classes where you practice what you are learning at a comfortable level. One response to this workshop from a Christian Education Director:
Thanks so much for the training day. It was such a mix of Sunday school teachers, preschool teachers, youth workers and parents who had come for use with their own families or in their careers. Everyone walked out ready to apply the things we had learned in their own settings, and with a renewed interest. Thanks for providing such a fun morning!
Dodie also tells stories for special or seasonal events and programs for adults and/or children. She is a member of “Salt of the Earth” storytellers circle.
